5 steps to Beautiful Hair!!!

1. Don't Over-Wash Your Hair... If you want to make a change in that rat's nest of yours(JK) you have to start at the root of the problem. So, do not wash your hair every day; wash it every other day or every two to three days. Now your probably thinking "gross" I work out, run, do yoga, sweat, so my hair has to be washed everyday." Here's the solution to that, rinse your hair while your taking a shower, but don't use shampoo. Add a little bit of conditioner to the ends, dry and style as usual. Soon you'll have a full head of beautiful, healthy, shiny hair.

2. Leave-Ins... Leave-in conditioners are a great way to give your hair a break from shampoo, it will dry out less and won't require much conditioner. Massage into your hair on the NO shampoo days. It will give you just the right amount of moisture it needs to stay soft and adds a bit of texture and hold too.

3. Stock up on Dry Shampoo... My favorite hair product!!! This is a permament staple in hair routine because it has so many uses. You can dust it on to absorb excess oil when you've gone too long between washes, or you can use to give fine hair added oomph-just apply it to your roots and brush through.

4. Accessorize with Caution... Steer clear of elastic bands with metal closures, they'll literally rip your hair out. Instead use cloth-only ponytail holders to create "cruelty free" tails and updos.

5. Layer Styling Products... When working with a new styler-anything from mousse to pomade-take baby steps. Remember, you can always add product, but removing it is not so easy, not to mention you can end up looking like a greaser from the "Outsiders."
Another smart move: Apply stylers to the back of your head first. That way if you do use too much, you won't have a "Something About Mary" moment. And when it comes to hair spray, flexible hold is always the best. You never want helmet head, unless it's for a special occasion hair-do or up-do. Happy Forever Hair Days!!!!
