Cellulite Remedy Part 2--Nutrients

Cellulite Remedy Part 2

From my last post you discovered damaged blood vessels were the main culprit behind Cellulite. The primary factor that contributes to cellulite is interference with you blood vessels' ability to ciculate nutrients. Nutrients need to travel all the way through the blood vessels in order to reach the skin, the outermost part of our body. When blood vessels are damaged and weak it makes this reach very difficult. Women with cellulite frequently if not most often have spider veins, varicose veins, and are likely to bruise easily and experience discoloration.
A lot of women beleive that weight loss is the answer to cellulite reduction, and in fact; and according to Dr. Murad, dermatologist, he states that cellulite is not a "fat" problem, it is a "dermal" and "cellular" problem.
So in order to heal cellulite, the connective tissues have to be addressed, not the fat cells.
What will heal Cellulite, you ask? Nutrients.
Connective tissues in our body is made up of GAG's, which are chonodroitin, dermatian, and one I'm sure you've heard of, hyaluronic acid. Our body produces these nutrients through a nutrient called glucosamine. However, our body doesn't produce enough of it to replenish the conncective tissues. In other words, our saving grace cannot come from food alone, but from Vitamins. In order to put this cellulite to bed, we need at least 1000-2000mg of glucosamine a day; Amino acids (protein); Lecithin; Essential Fatty Acids (nuts, flaxseeds, walnuts, fish or 1000mg of oil EFA; Vitamins and trace minerals...phew! That's sounds like a lot, but it really isn't considering our goal. It's cheaper than liposuction, which doesn't get rid of cellulite either:(

Ok, here's the breakdown:

DAILY Requirements

1. multivitamin/multimineral---100% Daily Value of all B Complex vitamins: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, folic acid, and biotin.*

*Choose an iron free mutlivitamin if you are post-menopausal.

2. 1000-2000mg of glucosamine.

3. Amino acids--lean protein.

4. Lecithin is found in the cell walls of our body. So if your walls are weak--if you have cellulite they are, then its energy source is depleted. Soy foods (e.g., tofu), eggs, spinach, lettuce, cauliflower, peanuts and peanut butter, apples, oranges, and potatoes are all sources of lecithin. If you do not regularly eat tofu, eggs, etc., it is important to take a supplement containing soy lecithin.

5. Essential Fatty Acids: Nuts, flaxseeds, seeds, walnuts and fish; or 1000mg EFA oil supplements.

6. Most important: WATER

I hope you benefited from this article! I started taking these supplements and I've noticed a huge difference in my skin already. As always, please consult a physician before taking any supplements.
