Not surprisingly, makeup artsits' lines carry the best brushes, because makeup artists know first hand what works and what doesn't.

Not in any particular order, are the best brushes on the market.

1. Shu Uemura

2. Bobbi Brown (my personal fav)

3. Lorac

4. Stila

5. MAC

6. Make up For Ever

7. Nars

and a few others I don't have the patience to mention...

Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent make good ones, too, but they're more expensive.

Prices generally range from $16-$45.

Sonia Kashuk also makes a good brush...avail at Target.
